Terrible First Date Ideas
Whether you’re new to the dating game or you’ve just had tons of terrible experiences, choosing the proper activity and location for your next date can really make all the difference in the world. But more importantly, you should really strive to avoid certain places when taking your date out for the first time. But if you’re a Tiny inexperienced or just completely bewildered, then check out my list of places and things that should not be incorporated into your next dating excursion.
1. Your parent’s house. I shouldn’t even have to list this, but unless you’re fifteen, you should never ever bring your date over to your parent’s house. Even if your thirty-five and still living in their basement, this is just not an appropriate place to watch a movie, eat dinner or do anything. So don’t even advocate it, unless you want to be stood up, again.
2. The zoo. Many people will probably disagree with me here, but the zoo is a terrible first date location. Just consider it. The zoo is loud, smelling and full of annoying, rambunctious children. there is nothing more unappealing then that, unless you've kids I suppose.
3. Your apartment. If it’s an official first date and you don’t know the person very well, inviting them to your apartment will definitely send the wrong message. No one will believe you if state you just want to watch free TV at home. If you’re a man and you invite a woman over, she’ll undoubtedly think you’re a creep. If you’re a woman and you invite a man over, he’ll undoubtedly think you’re easy. Either way, you’ll want to avoid this location at least until after you’ve gone out and done something else first. Whether you end up back at your apartment later is really depends on how well the date goes.
4. A class. Signing up for a yoga class or a pottery class can seem like a cute, quirky way to spend time with someone, but unless you really know them, this can be unbelievably awkward. It’s likely to make both of you feel a Tiny self-conscious and nervous, so hold off until you know one another a Little better.
5. The mall. there's nothing sexy or appealing about walking around an enormous shopping mall. If you want to invoke any romantic feelings whatsoever, then I recommend avoiding the mall at all costs.
Dating can be a real pain, but if you are careful about choosing the location and the activity, then you just might get lucky and find a real gem. So plan ahead and avoid awkward and potentially uncomfortable situations at all costs.
